Kokoa Word Count

The length of every article in plain view in the post list, without opening a single one.

What it does

It adds a Palabras (Words) column to the Posts list in the admin, showing each post's word count. The figure is calculated from the article text, with the HTML tags stripped out.

The column is sortable: one click on the header and your posts are ordered from shortest to longest, or the other way round. To sort, the plugin stores the count every time you save a post; for posts you already had, it shows a notice with a link that calculates the count for all of them at once.

Why count words

Finding articles that are too short, ones that need expanding or the longest pieces on the blog usually means opening them one by one. With a sortable column you see it in the same list you use every day, and you can combine it with the category and date filters WordPress already provides.
